In mid-October 2016, representatives from the United Registrar of Systems Limited (URS Certification), an independent certification body operating in more than 30 countries, has conducted an Audit of Datablazers Inc. requirements to the ISO 9001:2015. The stage-2 Audit confirmed the implementation and documentation of the organization’s Quality Management System.
The Certificate states that DBI was commended for good practices. Some of which are projecting work space improvements to accommodate more complex operations, enhancing employee welfare by adding work benefits and incentives, improving customer relations through constant feedback and testimonials, and employing good marketing strategies. Prescription for further improvement on the different organizational levels were also indicated. Other audit findings include specific areas needing attention and preventive measures.
ISO certification helps organizations validate their capacity to offer products and services of reliably good quality. Compliance with the standards also enables them to simplify and to modify methods in order to operate more efficiently. The much awaited new ISO 9001 version published in September supersedes the 2000 and 2008 editions. Thus, certification bodies will have to migrate certificates to the new version during the three-year transition from September 2015 until September 2018.
Acting ISO Secretary-General Kevin McKinley expounds the main objective for the revision— globalization. Recently, global trade barriers have lessened. McKinley said, “Organizations are trading across borders more easily, and it is important that the standards reflect these types of changes.” He also forecasted further development in the international supply chains as technology influences increased expectations from businesses and customers. This eventually calls for more cohesive actions, and the ISO 9001:2015 could help organizations adapt to the evolution.
According to Nigel Croft, Head of the ISO subcommittee, which reviewed and upgraded the standard, the previous versions of the ISO focused a lot on processing documents and requisites rather than assessing managing systems and performance. The ISO 9001:2015 utilizes management process which incorporates the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle in the whole organizational structure.
DBI passed the URS’ Audit and welcomes the recommendations that were stated to keep the company performance in accordance with the clients’ expectations. Datablazers is assured that with the help of the ISO 9001:2015 edition, quality lead generation and data services will step up to global standards and will guarantee improved client relations as well.
