Jim Ezpeleta, DBI’s Compliance and Audit Supervisor, believes that time spent on one’s career does not hinder the pursuit of creative interests. He has proved efficiency in doing his job for the past two years and has never encountered any complaints in the audit of voice files. At the recent Genfest held at the World Trade Center in Manila from July 6 to 8, Jim performed as one of the talents on stage together with other young people from different countries. The Youth for a United World (Y4UW) from Focolare movement organises the annual assembly aimed to promote universal peace and harmony. Now on its 11th year, the organisers have chosen the Philippines as the host country for the 2018 world youth festival.
Participation in this international event means a lot to Jim. As a dance choreographer, he would seize the opportunity to attend the workshops and to perform for an audience of young people representing other nations. It is his expression of solidarity with the other participants and of support to the festival’s theme – “Beyond All Borders.” Though taking part necessitated Jim’s absence from work for a couple of weeks, DBI management was considerate enough to allow him a work leave so he could attend the event. Thousands of other young attendees did not want to miss the concerts as well and had to travel to Manila from different areas worldwide to spread the message of love and internationalism.
DBI fosters work-life balance to ensure that our employees manage work, family duties, and amateur interests successfully. We also encourage our workforce to involve themselves in worthwhile activities so they could develop other special skills as well. Most of our employees are of the Gen Y group. If they really work hard for their personal goals, a promising future lies ahead. DBI is here to support young professionals so they could achieve their dreams.
